It’s all full up

UNIVERSITY Hospital Galway is edging towards operating at full capacity nearly every day of the year. It’s emerged that the hospital implemented its full capacity protocol on 300 occasions throughout 2017.
Sinn Féin City Cllr Mairéad Farrell is the latest public representative to hit out at the crisis situation in the county’s acute hospital, stating that the figures indicate the problem has “gone beyond crisis point”.
