Tuam bus corridor, or trains, do not figure in Galway Transport Strategy

DISAPPOINTMENT was expressed by a number of Co Councillors that neither a dedicated bus lane from Tuam to Claregalway, nor any plans to re-open the Tuam-Athenry rail link, were mentioned in a Transport Strategy for Galway which was presented to the local authority at its meeting on the Monday before Christmas.
Jim Molloy of the Galway Transport Unit made the presentation which included an extension of the Tuam Road bus route from the city side of Claregalway all the way into the city, and not just in some sections of the road as it is at present.
