One day left to claim €250,000

EVERYONE wants to know who has the ticket – but as yet no one has come forward to claim the cash prize from a Lotto ticket worth €250,000 sold in Dunmore.

If no one claims the prize by tomorrow (Tuesday) evening, it will be lost.

There is just a day to go for the backs of couches, under car seats and dry-cleaned suits and jackets to be searched, after that the money disappears into the marketing pot for Lotto.

Staff at Hannon's Daybreak in Dunmore where the lucky Lotto Plus 2 ticket was bought back in August say there have been plenty of people in asking if the prize has been claimed as well plenty of hopefuls having old tickets checked, but as yet the winner has yet to come forward.

The National Lottery has renewed its appeal this afternoon (Monday) for the public to check their tickets as they could be a quarter of a million euro richer.

The holder of the winning ticket has until close of business tomorrow (Tuesday) to present themselves at Lottery Headquarters on Abbey Street in Dublin as ticket holders have 90 days from the date of the draw to claim their prize.

The Quick Pick ticket for €10 was bought on Saturday, August 6 and it matched six numbers in the Lotto Plus 2 draw on the following Wednesday, August 10 to win the €250,000 top prize.

Hannon's Daybreak has been busy with people asking about the ticket but they still have no idea who might have bought it during Dunmore's annual Festival Week in August.

The winning numbers are: 1, 9, 10, 15, 23, 30 Bonus 2 and the ticket holder can check it online or by calling the claims team on 01-8364444.
