Raiders ram shopkeeper's jeep during dawn attack

MASKED burglars smashed the windows of a Mountbellew man’s jeep with iron bars as they made their escape after raiding his supermarket.
Richard Coyle was shocked to find four men raiding his store at 3.30 am on the night of his mother’s wake after builders had finished late-night refurbishment work. The raid has prompted calls for more Gardai to be deployed on a 24-hour basis in rural stations.
