Dunmore's Paint Town Pink raises thousands for cancer

MORE than €5,000 was raised for local cancer care support when Dunmore decided to Paint the Town Pink.
And the fundraising continues still as a song written by two Dunmore musicians for Williamstown’s Sharon Carroll, whose sharing of her personal cancer story has featured in local and national media, is now raising money for services for patients with cancer attending UHG.
Paint Dunmore Pink was the brainchild of Vivienne Glynn and Laura Killaheena Henry and the fun event garnered support from the entire community. From music to bucket collecting – the streets of Dunmore, decorated in bright pink bunting and posters, were full with supporters of the initiative.

Sharon will be a guest speaker at an event hosted by Tuam Youth Club on Friday, April 22 in the Tuam Family Centre, Dublin Road from 7 pm
