Driverless car will be shown in Tuam
VISITORS to Valeo Vision Systems in Tuam this week from the European Road Transport Research Advisory Council (ERTRAC) and executives from the IDA, Enterprise Ireland along with academics from NUIG as well as senior directors from Valeo HQ in France will experience the latest Valeo Innovations in Automated Parking including Remote Control Parking where a driver can park a car without being in it.
The driver who has left his or her vehicle can use new Valeo technology via a smartphone to remotely take control of the vehicle to perform a fully automated parking manoeuvre.
During the visit to Valeo, the latest innovations in vision systems and automated parking will be presented, including vehicle demonstrations and test drives at Valeo’s vehicle test track facility at Dunmore Road.
