Young Tuam priest is all set take the plunge

LUNGING into the icy waters of the Atlantic on St Stephen’s Day would be quite a shock for the system of American-born but Tuam-based priest Fr Shane Sullivan — but he will do just that at the Salthill diving board.
You can even be one of those to push the young priest into the chilly sea at Blackrock on Saturday afternoon.
All you have to do is donate to the fundraising efforts to bring a group of 60 young people from Tuam to Poland for the World Catholic Youth Week in Krakow next July.
“I am going to insulate my body very well with plenty of turkey, sweets, biscuits and Christmas chocolates,” he added.
