Time to party

I CAN understand how many of us would like to spend a significant amount of our Christmas hols in cosy plaid pyjamas accessorised with fur-lined Crocs, a constant burning fire, a vat of hot choc and perhaps the odd selection box on your knee.
Alas, you have to be sociable and a firm requirement of this is ditching the tracksuit, or if you’re just that little bit posher than the rest of us, 'lounge wear’, and enduring the hardship of dolling yourself up a bit for a night out.
Of course during peak festive pub traffic you might put yourself and your favourite heels at a strong risk of being injured but there are just some style sacrifices you have to make.
You can of course be a lot more sensible and do your night-time socialising in your comfy flats but I’ll leave that particular personal choice with you.
So once you’ve prised yourself away from the soap specials, the box of choc mallows and that half bottle of Prosecco in the fridge, you’ll need something to dazzle your accompanying socialites with so they don’t focus to much on the bulging bolg you’ve developed from starting your day with a spoon and an open fridge door to Leftover Central.
If there’s any time of year that you can pull off going overboard on glitz it’s Christmas and in fact, it would be almost prudish of you not to add a few sequins, a little lace, glitter or bling to your outfit.
