Daniel sings Hank Williams hits

Months before Daniel O’Donnell was told he would be tripping the light fantastic on Strictly Come Dancing he was in a recording studio in Dublin putting the finishing touches to an album of songs that were hits for a singer that he has idolised all his life, the late great Hank Williams.
Daniel’s career has now spanned more than 30 years. Sadly, Hank’s entire life spanned only 29 years, but his songs have lived on decades after his tragic death, hastened by alcohol and prescription drugs addiction, on New Year’s Day 1953.
Recording The Hank Williams Songbook is a project that has been close to Daniel’s heart as he has been a lifelong fan of the songs of Hank.
