THE danger of giving seasoned champions a second chance was again underlined at Tuam Stadium on Sunday when Corofin made the most of their opportunity after they had been fortunate enough to earn a draw with Tuam Stars in their first Senior Football Championship quarter-final meeting.
They had to work extremely hard for this replay win though, as Tuam more than matched them in many aspects of the game and would have been much closer at the end had they been more accurate in attack, both from frees and from play. Six second half wides proved their undoing.
