West side story to showcase this years talent at youth theatre

EIGHT years on and the talents of Tuam Youth Theatre continue to impress at the launch of their annual show, West Side Story.
The cast of 60, along with 15 back stage crew, assembled at the Corralea Court Hotel this week to whet the appetites of musical theatre lovers in the town.
Performing three songs from the show, which will be performed from Wednesday August 5 to Saturday 8, the teenagers belied their young years as they raised the roof with the classics, I Feel Pretty, Maria and Tonight.
MC for the evening Imelda Kelly gave the background to the award-winning show, which is an adaptation of the classic romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet.
