Landlords may face action over antisocial behaviour

IRRESPONSIBLE landlords are being blamed by residents of a Tuam housing estate who say they are living in fear following an ongoing campaign of anti-social behaviour in the area.
Gold Cave Residents’ Association has vowed to bring legal action against landlords who are renting properties in an apartment block in the estate to tenants who are on temporary release from prison.
Tenants living in other houses in the area are also accused of intimidating residents, many of whom are now afraid to walk through the estate for fear of attack.
