Petals or paisley

EVERYTHING’S coming up petals or paisley when it comes to the latest offerings from Irish design brand Daisy May.
Known for their stylish occasion wear, Daisy May is a label to look out for when it comes to searching the rails for an outfit for upcoming Communions, Confirmations or weddings.
The colours are big and bold or bright and breezy. Personally I’ve enough bad memories of the paisley print craze when it was revived last time round, so whether it’s in pastel pinks or muted blues this time round, I’ll be politely passing on that one.
Matching prints worn on top and bottom are another catwalk trend that’s becoming more popular in the everyday person’s wardrobe. While these graphic ensembles seem to look quite normal on other (taller) people, I’ll agree with the rare comment from my other half, when it comes to me attempting to pull the double print look off – it’s more like reusing 1970s wallpaper – his words not mine.
But back to all things beautiful and the cute and colourful selection of dresses from Daisy May. These are elegant and feminine looks that won’t let you down. Some of the dresses are a tad too vintage-inspired for my liking but again I’m in the minority somewhat when it comes to my contempt for that particular unabating trend.
However, there are plenty of floral separates that can be calmed down with a block colour on top or bottom and the structured dresses are beautifully cut and will do plenty to enhance hour-glass figures.
Your spring-summer 'occasion’ outfit awaits you!
Daisy May is stocked in a range of boutiques, including Ivy Boutique, Dublin Road, Tuam.
