Jobs threat as headford crippled by broadband problems

THE lack of high speed broadband in north Galway could force one company to relocate into the city, according to a Headford businessman who says the current infrastructure is crippling industry.
Despite a €15 million investment by Eircom in recent months, areas including Barnaderg, Glenamaddy, Headford, Mountbellew and Williamstown are still without high speed broadband.
John Sweeney, managing director of HealthCare Informed, which employs 15 people in Headford, says the situation may force his business into Galway city.
