Edinburgh spoil party in ending connachts unbeaten home run

WHAT a difference a week makes in the rollercoaster adventure that is Connacht’s Pro12 season.
Up until last Friday evening, the Sportsground was a fortress that even mighty Munster hadn’t been able to breach and the plan was to extend the unbeaten home run to nine games.
But Edinburgh clearly hadn’t read the script when they called a halt to the party atmosphere with their 13-16 win that will make Pat Lam’s mission to finish in the top six a little bit more tricky.
The savage wind that seemed to swirl in a circular motion throughout the 80 minutes along with driving rain may not have been unfamiliar conditions for either side.
But Connacht seemed to struggle from the off, failing to find the same intensity that had forced their way through the Munster pack in similar conditions on New Years Day.
