The new Tuam Family Centre is near completion.

Tuams new family centre will officially open in new year

A DILAPIDATED and vacant former school building has been impressively transformed into a flagship community project for Tuam.
The construction of the €1 million Family Centre is on target to be completed this Friday, November 7, and an open day for the public is being planned for early in January.
Builders moved on to the site of the old Mercy primary school on Dublin Road in April and all going well, the contemporary designed building will be finished by the end of this week.
The new Tuam Youth and Family Centre has been worked on for more than three years and is being led the St Vincent de Paul, which has committed money through its Maureen O’Connell fund.
