Pets tales with the gspca

EACH week we hope to help abandoned and unwanted pets from around Co. Galway find great new homes with the help of our readers.
All of the pets featured are currently being cared for by the wonderful team of volunteers at the Galway Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals sanctuary, Heathlawn. Sadly they always have lots of cats, kittens and dogs of all shapes, colours and sizes that are desperately looking for a new, caring home.

WOOFS
Bronson
This guy is about 16 months old and is a gorgeous big softie. Bronson is so much fun to have around and he is full of energy. He would suit an active family and he loves to go for walks and run around.

MEOWS
Susie
Susie has been with us for a while now. She is a little shy with strangers and cats so unfortunately she continues to be overlooked for the cuter kittens. All our volunteers love her and ensure she gets her cuddles.
Remember when you come to the cattery that the animals will be nervous around you but once they go to their new home, they really settle in.

Blinky
Poor Blinky was dumped like rubbish on the roadside. She must have been terrified as she was born without eyes. She is the first kitten we’ve come across that actually hugs. Blinky just craves affection and is the most adorable kitten we’ve had at the cattery. Because she is blind, Blinky would be best as an indoor cat.

Bill & Ted
This pair are such fun to have around. They are about six months old and brothers. The duo are getting used to being handled by people and we’d love to keep them together.
