Mings successful euro campaign only cost him 1

MARIO DRAGHI, watch out. The European Parliament now has a member who can balance the books to within one euro. MEP Luke 'Ming’ Flanagan only had to put his hand in his pocket for €1 to fund his successful leap from the Dáil to the European Parliament, according to new figures released by the Standards in Public Office Commission.
Ming managed to spend €38,093 on his successful campaign and, according to the rules, he’s entitled to claim back €38,092 in election expenses – leaving our man in Brussels just €1 in the red after all his efforts.
