Galway music fans all go wild for Nathan Carter

GALWAY city has often been dubbed a graveyard for most Country acts, even major US stars such as The Mavericks and Faith Hill have failed to fill venues there in the past.
But not so the hottest young singing star in Ireland today, Nathan Carter, who has already sold out one night at The Black Box on Thursday August 28. Now the tickets for an extra date at the same venue on Friday August 29 are also selling fast, with a second sell-out on the cards.
Success couldn’t happen to a more unassuming young man and while the Liverpool lad, who is only 23, was catapulted to stardom here with his number one hit Wagon Wheel, similar success may be in store for him in the UK where his first single will be released by major label Decca at the end of September.
In an interview before he went on stage at a packed Ballygar Community Centre recently, Nathan said that, while success in the UK where he was born would mean a lot to him, he will still not be deserting his Irish fans and he has a hectic schedule of dates lined up here for this year and much of 2015.
