Meet local milliners at Tuam boutique fashion event

GET your wardrobe ready for the racing and summer social season with the help of a local fashion fix at the end of the month. North Galway milliners Caithriona King from Corofin and Mags Costello from Tuam will be on hand to offer their expertise on hats and headpieces at a Meet the Milliners fashion show in The Hidden Closet Boutique in Tuam.
The fashionable event on Thursday, June 26 will take place in store from 7 to 9 pm with style advice, tips and of course a wonderful fashion show of the latest looks that will set you up for any occasion over the coming months.
Expect a feast of fashion accompanied by champagne, canapes, spot prizes, 20 per cent discounts as well as draw for two race tickets.
This will be a wonderful ladies’ night out and in keeping with the theme of the summer social calender, there will also be a prize for Best Dressed on the night.
Milliner Caithriona King, who showcased her designs at the recent Glamour at the g last week, has herself featured among the finalists for Best Dressed at various racing meets around Ireland while her innovative designs have been worn by numerous Best Dressed winners and contenders.
All of Caithriona’s hats and headpieces are unique and can be created to suit a woman’s specific requirements, taste and colour theme. The busy entrepreneur assures that there is hat to suit everyone and it just depends on a person’s preference, face shape and individual style. She works closely with each client to ensure that the chosen piece works.
Tuam’s Mags Costello showcased her designs at last week’s Pink Afternoon at the Lodge at Ashford. Mags has turned her artistic talents from the international hairdressing stage to the catwalk by returning to her love of working with textiles.
Mags has taken her experience of many years of attending fashion shows, hair shows and exhibitions and has worked to produce a range of statement pieces to cover a range of occasions from weddings to racing.
Owner of The Hidden Closet Olga Timlin has always been eager to showcase the talents of local milliners in her boutique on Dublin Road and dresses and outfits from the store always prove a popular choice for women who love dressing up.
She is inviting all customers and fashion lovers to the event on June 26 and to avail of the opportunity to see a selection of outfits teamed with a range of hats and headpieces while having the chance to ask personal advice from staff and the milliners themselves.
