Pets Tales

EACH week we hope to help abandoned and unwanted pets from around Co. Galway find great new homes with the help of our readers.

All of the pets featured are currently being cared for by the wonderful team of volunteers at the Galway Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals sanctuary, Heathlawn. Sadly they always have lots of cats, kittens and dogs of all shapes, colours and sizes that are desperately looking for a new, caring home.

WOOFS

Frankie

This is a lovely 18-month-old male Boxer. He is a very friendly sociable dog who was found lying on the road with a broken leg. Our Frankie is all better now and back to his playful self.

Herbie

Handsome Herbie is about six years old. He is a very gentle and placid dog. Herbie gets on with everyone, especially other dogs and children. He was found in very poor health but thankfully he’s recovered well. He would suit a loving home where he can potter about and take a snooze now and then.

Lexi

You couldn’t meet a nicer girl than Lexi. She is a real character and full of life and fun.

MEOWS

Rachel

Keep a look out for Rachel who is missing from Knocknacarra. She may have travelled to Moycullen as she was sighted there but it could be a cat that looks like her. She is very friendly and may approach you, if she does please take her in and contact the GSPCA.
