TVF celebrates record year

TUAM Voluntary Force's most successful year of fundraising was marked with a cheque presentation to its two nominated charities for 2012, Pieta House West and the Jack and Jill Foundation. A host of fundraising events were held throughout the year with over €31,000 raised in the town, with Operation Tuamsformation in January and the recent Have Boots Will Travel football match proving the most popular events. While each charity received €12,250, a further €7,000 was split between Tuam Cancer Care and the local branch of the Angelman Syndrome charity.
