Charity Joseph will light up Kilconly stage
KILCONLY'S talents will be showcased this weekend when the local Musical Madness crew returns to the stage in aid of another worthy cause. Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat will entertain young and old audiences when it is performed this Saturday and Sunday evening at 8.30 in Kilconly Community Centre. [private] All proceeds from the event will go to Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin, in an event that is part of local man Shane Farrell's mission to lose weight and raise money for charity. Shane, who is well known for his musical talents as director of the Marian Choral Society in Tuam, is on a mission to lose ten stone. 'We were overwhelmed with support for the fundraising show we put on in 2009 to raise money for the playground in the village, so we're hoping that people will come out again for the children of Our Lady's.' 'We have a cast of 26 adults and 50 children taking part, I'll even be on stage myself as the Pharoah so I'm really looking forward to it.' Tickets for the show, priced at €15 for adults, €8 for children and a family ticket for four at €40 are available from Quinn's Shop Tuam (093 26060) and Byrne's Shop Kilconly (093 47916). [/private]
