Galway have adapted to modern football - Sice

WHEN THE 2016 Connacht final is recalled in years to come, Gary Sice’s venomous 26th minute strike will feature fondly in the memories of Galway supporters.
The Tribesmen turned a solid start into an unassailable lead by the half hour mark and Sice’s finish, coming five minutes after the first of Danny Cummins’ expertly taken goals, summed up Galway’s 'seize the day’ approach and effectively closed the door on Roscommon’s challenge.
“Sometimes when you’re feeling good, you let one pop,” reflected Sice afterwards. “Kevin [Walsh] told us before the game 'if you’re going to go, go!’ and I kinda got through, I don’t know how I got through, put the head down, let rip and it flew in!”
