Daith burkes loss was costly for turloughmore first time out

THE worst possible start for Turloughmore in the County Senior Hurling Championship.
This 18-point defeat by a fired-up Portumna team at St Brendan’s Park, Loughrea last Saturday evening was made worse by Turloughmore’s lack of resistance, which was so untypical of a club renowned for their battling qualities and never-say-die attitude, especially in the cauldron of Championship hurling.
It was a shockingly ragged, inept performance by Turlough’ and it gives their loyal followers much cause for concern ahead of the games coming up against the three other teams in Group C, St Thomas’s, Killimordaly and Mullagh.
