Galway’s big speeding slow down has a catch

A DRAMATIC drop of more than 50 per cent in motorists caught speeding in Co Galway may not be because drivers are slowing down.
The massive fall off in speeding detections isn't being fully attributed to drivers taking their foot off the pedal and may be more a result of the Garda speed van being out of action.
And a senior Garda has confirmed that the county's only Garda gatso van is beyond repair and will not be replaced.
