Gardaí in Tuam are appealing for anyone with information to contact them. In Dunmore, Gardaí are seeking witnesses to an incident at a house in Lisroe last Saturday evening. The incident happened at approximately 5.40pm when a light blue coloured car, thought to have an 04 G reg was seen leaving the area.
Gardaí are seeking anyone with information on the car, believed to be a VW Passat or Ford Mondeo to come forward to Tuam Garda station. Meanwhile, a hair dressers salon in Athenry was targeted by thieves over the weekend. Eileen’s Hairdresser in Athenry Shopping Centre was broken into and a safe and sum of money stolen.
Anyone who saw unusual activity around the shopping centre over the weekend, or anyone with any information on the incident is asked to contact Garda Mick McDermott at Athenry Garda Station on 091 844016.
Garda Maria Freeley said a number of incidents had also been reported in Galway city over the past number of days and she appealed to people to be more security conscious.
“Burglaries are still occurring as result of people not securing their property,” she said. “Also home and business owners are still keeping cash at their property. Please secure your property and do not keep cash at home or at your business.”
