ONE of the world's most famous milliners and Co Galway native Philip Treacy has made hats for princesses and pop stars but did you know that he worked his magic for a Harry Potter film?

The Ahascragh native says designing a hat for a Harry Potter film was a “personal thrill†for him and says that as a milliner he deals in “illusion and fantasyâ€.

Philip was asked to come up with a creation for a group of very chic French schoolgirls for the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and put a unique and indeed magical twist of his own on the elegant yet still wizard-like design.

Warner Brothers Studio in London is running The Making of Harry Potter – Wizarding Wardrobes from now until Monday, September 4 and Philip's beautiful grey hats will feature.
