Plan to list Tuam Home site as protected structure deferred

PLANS to include Tuam’s Mother and Baby Home memorial garden on the Record of Protected Structures have been deferred by Galway County Council.

Speaking at this month’s council meeting on Monday, acting CEO of Galway County Council Kevin Kelly said the matter had been considered prior to the Commission’s statement and it had since been decided not to proceed at this time.
