Estates standstill as rural one-off homes on the rise

HOUSE construction across the city and county is rising but the majority of new builds still remain to be rural, one-off family homes.
Despite the huge demand for properties to rent and buy around the county, there are still very few new residential estates being built.
The figures for houses completed around Galway (county and city) for the 11 months Jan-Nov 2016 are 743 as against 654 for the same period in 2015, which is an increase of 89 or 13.9 per cent.
