Talented Jim Devine kicks off Country TV series

IRELAND’S biggest Country music talent show, Glór Tíre, is back with a bang on TG4. And the first guest star on the new series last night (Tuesday,  January 10) was young singer Jim Devine who will be mentoring the first of nine contestants in this year’s series, Claire Dillon.
This is the 13th season of the show and for 12 of the 13 years it has been recorded at The Quays Bar in Galway where the current series was recorded in November. Each show is on Tuesday nights at 9.30pm on TG4.
Country stars including Mike Denver, Robert Mizzell, Brendan Shine, Johnny Brady, Louise Morrissey, Keith and Lorraine McDonald are mentoring this year’s line-up of talented contestants on stage for the shows.
Apart from singing some of their own hits, the established stars perform a duet with the contestant that each of them is mentoring.
