It was a happy homecoming for Home Baby Nora

IT was a happy homecoming to Dunmore for Nora Kelly-Larby last month.
The one-time child resident of the Mother and Baby Home in Tuam came back to the place where she has always felt welcome, Menus Park.
Nora Kelly was one of the fortunate children who was boarded out to a loving household where she felt cherished and needed.
And though she never met her mother since she was a baby, she got all the love she needed from sisters Maggie and Mary Hopkins, who treated her like a daughter.
At school in Strawberry Hill, where the late great Sean Purcell was the master, she made life-long friends with her school mates.
She often comes back to Menus Park, where she stays with her friend Eileen Meehan, and on her most recent visit one old school pal called to hear her sing her signature song, Patsy Fagan.
