Corofin mans vision sees him succeed in silicon valley dream

COROFIN roots have sprouted into Silicon Valley shoots for a one young entrepreneur who has taken the world of sports technology by storm in recent years.
John McGuire, from Doonbeg, Cummer, has already made his mark in the Californian technological hub, where his Game Golf app is leading the charge of sporting technology as it harnesses golfing stats that allow players to break their game down in order to improve performance.
Based in San Francisco since 2010, John was joined by his wife Lisa and two young daughters, Summer and Lily, last year, with the family now well settled into American life.
During one of his brief visits home last week he delivered a talk to a conference organised by GMIT’S annual Spirit of Entrepreneurship events at the institute’s campus in Castlebar.
