NOT every child is born with baby-soft skin and many babies and children can suffer from dry, itchy, flaky and highly sensitive skin.
Finding relief can be difficult and many parents and doctors are anxious to leave prescriptive remedies as a last resort.
One of the relatively new skincare brands to hit the Irish market in the past few years is proving very popular with those whose skin is prone to eczema and flare-ups.
The High Cross Pharmacy in Tuam was among the first pharmacies in the county to stock the Avene brand from France and it is delighted to be able to offer even greater expertise on the range of products than ever before.
The pharmacy’s Angela Cunningham was one of just ten people from Ireland who were selected to attend an intensive training programme at Avene’s Dermatological Hydrotherapy Centre in France.
Angela’s knowledge and experience of the products has been significantly extended and she saw first-hand the remarkable results many of the products have, as children actually stay and attend the French centre for their treatment.
