Garda praised for prosecution and lift home service

A DUNMORE-BASED Garda was praised for the comprehensive service he offered to those he prosecuted by Judge Geoffrey Browne at Tuam District Court. The Judge was told that not only had Garda John Flaherty prosecuted James Mullarkey, Cloonkeen, Dunmore, for being drunk and a danger to himself and others at Barrack Street, Dunmore, on the night of September 15 last but he had given him a lift home as well. Judge Browne said that this was very fair of him and he commended Garda Flaherty for his forbearance. A fine of €200 was imposed.
