ADAM Hession has been making waves in Irish amateur boxing circles and the Monivea star's latest success came at Friday night's National U-22 Championships with a unanimous decision over Dubliner Mark Corcoran.
From the village of Bullaun on the Corofin-Turloughmore border, Hession became the first male boxer from his club to win an Irish senior title before Christmas and the flyweight (52kg) followed up that historic success by adding another prestigious crown at Dublin’s National Stadium.
