Spring target for opening of Tuam Stadium’s new dressing-rooms

A FINAL PUSH towards the completion of the first phase of a major upgrade at Tuam Stadium was launched last Sunday morning.
In a united approach, Galway GAA Board, the Stadium Association and their 20-strong support group, local sponsors and public representatives all sung off the same hymn sheet when the Development Advocates for Tuam Stadium (DAfTS) hosted a breakfast reception at the Corralea Court Hotel to give a progress report on the project.
County GAA officers Pat Kearney (chairman) and Kenneth Fox (vice-chairman) told the special gathering of all interested parties that they were fully supportive of the DAfTS campaign.
In particular, Mr Fox said, they were very pleased to have played a role in submitting a successful application on behalf of Tuam Stadium for a Sports Capital grant of €111,500 from the Dept of Transport, Tourism and Sport.
