Tyson Fury for Galway next week

Michael Sweeney and Olympic Boxing Club this week announced that heavyweight boxing star Tyson Fury will attend the Olympic Boxing Club tournament on Wednesday, 15th May. Tyson has Co. Galway roots as his dad Big John Fury comes from Tuam.

Michael Sweeney is a pro boxer who lived for 14 years in Tuam. His mother’s side are all from Tuam. Michael’s dad is from Ballinrobe.

There will be 10 top class contests. First fight at 6 p.m.
