GARDAÍ have warned that there will be no relaxation of their monitoring of pubs throughout Co Galway for breaches of the Covid-19 regulations and that the operation of any illegal ‘shebeen’ set-ups will be cracked down on with the full force of the law backed up by new powers being introduced this week.

New regulations will allow Gardaí who find non-compliance to order a pub to shut down immediately for a day.
