THERE are a lot of green and every other colour fingers getting busy in Tuam and surrounding areas over the coming days ahead of a celebration of young people’s creativity this weekend.
Cruinniú na nÓg is an annual national initiative celebrating the creative potential of children and young people.
A number of free events and programmes have been organised by the Galway County Arts Office and events include ‘Pop-up Worlds’ with Moonfish Theatre and Galway Public Libraries Mobile Library Service happening on Saturday, June 15 in Abbeyknockmoy, Moylough and Mountbellew.
This is no ordinary library bus; its books are doorways to the past. Open one, and you will be carried on an epic historical adventure.
Workshops will run in Tuam over three consecutive days leading up to Cruinniú, with a showcase of completed mixed media art presented publicly to the local community on June 15.
