Pair of Claires making a difference in Vietnam

By David Connors

TWO Tuam Claires are heading for Vietnam later this month as volunteers in an initiative that provides hip and knee replacements for people suffering with chronic arthritis.
Claire Henry (34) and Claire Keating (30) both reside in Curragh Park and work in the Galway Clinic.
The pair have joined up with Operation Walk Ireland, originally an American charity, that sees consultant orthopaedic surgeons, nurses and volunteers jet off to Hanoi, the country’s capital, where they’ll perform life-changing surgeries for those who are in constant agony.
