Delayed supermarket ready to go

CONSTRUCTION work on a new supermarket, thought to be for a UK-based chain, is planned to start at a site on the edge of Tuam town centre towards the end of this year.
An extension of time is being sought on the planning application that was previously granted for a greenfield site in Cloonthue. If this gets the green light the developers have indicated work on the new 2,120 sqm anchor store should begin in October.
