Headford 's all-town donor drive
HEADFORD is the first town in Ireland to host a week-long effort to raise awareness and support for organ donation.
The idea came from local man Neil Fraser who lost his dear friend Aidan Hickey earlier this year. Aidan suffered a heart attack while he was waiting for a liver transplant.
Neil says his friend’s death had a huge impact on him and on many other people in the local community.
