Appeals board give go-ahead for new bookies in Tuam Square

THE Planning Appeals Board has given the final go-ahead to plans for a new betting shop to open in Tuam’s town square.
Bar One Racing has been granted planning permission for the development at the former Xtravision store premises. The chain already has several betting shops in Ireland with a number in Co Galway.
This is the second new betting shop to be granted planning permission for Tuam this year. At the end of May Galway County Council gave the go-ahead to plans by The Rustic Vaults for the construction of an off-licence, bookmakers and office building.
