Want to see the Pope? Use the bus!

THE thousands of people travelling to see Pope Francis in just over two weeks’ time are being advised to carpool or join a coach trip.
The Pope will spend only a short time during his visit in the West of Ireland, arriving at Knock Airport on Sunday, August 26 at 9.20am and travelling by motorcade the 20-kilometre route along the N17 to Knock Shrine where he will visit the Apparition Chapel.
All of the 45,000 tickets available for the papal visit in Knock were booked out weeks ago and the public are being warned that there will be no opportunities to see the Pope at the airport.
There will be a large garda presence in the lead up to the visit and road closures will be in place from 6pm on Saturday, August 25.
