Newry takes Galway Best Dressed title

AN elegant pink ensemble took the prestigious title of Best Dressed at Ladies Day in Galway this afternoon where despite downpours, thousands of women put on a cheerful and colourful display of style.

Charlene Byers from Newry, Co Down scooped the winner the g Hotel Best Dressed Lady wearing a chic hat by Laura Hanlon, dress by Umit Kutluk Designs, clutch bag by Lulu and simple heels from Next. Charlene was unanimously agreed by the judges headed up Galway's Chanelle McCoy, as the g Hotel Best Dressed Lady.

Winner of Best Hat in a red and pink straw headpiece was Moira O'Toole, Kilkenny, who told judges she designed and made the hat herself.
