High-speed fibre broadband available in two weeks

A NEW high-speed fibre powered broadband network for Tuam is set to be turned on in next two weeks.

The service, which will be provided by Virgin Media Ireland, has been described as one of the quickest infrastructure developments seen in Co Galway, given the project was only launched in April of this year.
The last of the work is expected to be completed by October with work on only a few streets in the town remaining and eyes will then turn to potential roll-out plans for Claregalway and Athenry.
