Positive Parenting Seminar at Claregalway Hotel

A Positive Parenting Seminar will take place in the Claregalway Hotel on Wednesday, March 20.
Hosted by Galway Rural Development in collaboration with Tusla, Galway Sports Partnership, Aids West, CROI, Galway PPN and Youth Work Ireland, the event will feature a host of speakers from the fields of children’s mental health.
Talks on ‘Handling Anxiety in Children and Teenagers’ and ‘Teens and Tweens and Screens’ will be delivered by best-selling author and mental health professional Stella O’Malley from 10.30am until 12.30pm.
The Handling Anxiety in Children section will provide strategies for parents to pass on to their children to help them to cope with life’s stresses.
The ‘Teens and Tweens and Screens’ talk will teach parents to regain control of tech use in their family-life.
Linda Ford, a personal performance coach and trainer, will deliver an interactive workshop from 1pm until 2pm on ‘Make time for Yourself’. Participants will practise a variety of techniques designed to reduce stress and balance busy lives.
