COULD you refrain from buying anything you could wear for the next 12 months?
That’s exactly what Galway woman Lisa Regan, a PR consultant, did last year when she went cold turkey on buying anything that she could put on her person, from clothes and accessories to necessities such as socks and underwear.
She reckons she saved between €2,000 to €3,000 but more importantly says she learned that people put far too much value on style being on trend and wearing new clothes.
