Happy Christmas to every boy and girl
Hello Boys and Girls, WELL, it's almost here, after all the waiting. Now all we have to do is sit tight and wait for our friend from the North Pole to visit us. The most important thing is not to blow it at this late stage â€â€ so be extra good. Be better than extra good be â€Ëœpurrfect' as Tiddles the cat might say. Aunt Molly and I are busy getting the house ready for all our visitors but we certainly won't be forgetting Santa who still drops in to say hello if he has time. Santa say he loves County Galway because the boys and girls always leave out nice things for him to eat and drink. He has a very sweet tooth you know and loves cake. Indeed, Rudolf likes a bit of cake too and the two of them have a good feed before they leave our airspace. So enjoy your Christmas and have lots and lots of fun. I'll see you again in 2012. Let me leave you with a joke to keep a smile on your face. Q What do snowmen eat for breakfast? A Snowflakes! Bye for now, Uncle Jasper. Jasper's Christmas poem â€â€ The night little Mary met Santa Mary Helps Santa By Uncle Jasper â€ËœTwas the night before Christmas And all children were asleep, Except curious little Mary Who thought she would peep. She crept down the stairs And from behind the Christmas tree, She awaited the sound of reindeer To see what she could see. But waiting can be tiring As everyone I'm sure knows, And before too very long Her eyes droopy did grow. And as she did slumber In that house warm and still, A strange noise disturbed her She awoke to such a thrill. She wondered if she was dreaming For there in her own home, Was a great big bearded man With a smile for her alone. Santa it was, eating his cake Drinking his milk, in Daddy's chair, He smiled and chuckled, As if a joke he would share Why are you awake And out of your bed? He asked little Mary And that's not all he said. Well since you're awake No harm there, for goodness sake, I could do with a hand, I have rounds to make. Mary was truly amazed, Up she'd be, above the rooftops With Rudolf and the crew Helping Santa with the toy drops. She put on her warmest clothes Up the chimney the two friends did go, Soon they were flying high Over Tuam and her home far below. They landed on rooftops in Corofin and Belclare Mary helped the elves by keeping a toy score, In and out of houses they went as quick as a flash And soon they had covered Lavally and Dunmore. To Glenamaddy, Creggs and Athenry Headford and Corrandulla toys they did take, Not a home they did miss in The Herald area And happy boys and girls they left in their wake. But delivering toys so far and wide A little girl can't take in her stride, Soon she was sleepy and tired again And nodded off with Santa beside. She awoke next morning in her own bed With her brothers and sisters busy, you see, Their gifts and presents they were opening, There was something for everyone under the tree. I had such a funny dream, said Mary to them, I dreamed I flew over hills, lakes and glens, I helped Santa deliver lots of toys And then I was back in my own bed again. She was puzzled, was Mary and scratched her head Had she imagined her wonderful night in the sled? She wondered was it real or just a fantasy Then she saw a note for her under her bed. The note was written in Santa's fine hand It thanked Mary for guiding him round her land, She was a really good girl, the note did say, She'd always be welcome in the North Pole band.
